Goldey-Beacom trails by six points after one-quarter of play.
The game started with the Lightning firing off to a quick 6-2 lead with 8:42 left in the first quarter. Alanna Speaks and Jhordan Gardner would each drain a three-pointer on the run.
It would not take long for the Golden Knights to respond as seconds later, the team blasted off 15 straight points to take a 17-6 advantage with 5:14 remaining in the first quarter. Saint Rose’s fast start would be helped by three of their first seven buckets were three-pointers.
Almost a minute later, the Lighting would strike back with a 14-7 run which cut the lead to 24-20 with 1:13 remaining in the opening quarter. During this time, Goldey-Beacom snatched the ball from the Golden Knights three times, with sophomore Jenissa Varela guard with one steal and senior guard Mone Izumi with two.
In the last minute of the first quarter, Saint Rose would outscore the Lightning 4-2 to hold a 28-22 advantage.

Goldey-Beacom was on fire in the early minutes of the second quarter, as the team went a 12-2 run to take a 34-30 lead with 3:19 left in the first half. Junior guard Mickey Williams was the leading scorer of the run with four points.
Starting at the 3:02 minute mark, the Golden Knights would take the lead right back as the team went on an 11-3 run to grab a 41-37 advantage at the end of the first half.
The Lightning would miss nine shots on Saint Rose’s run, which included three free throw attempts.

Fast forward to the 6:29 minute mark, the third quarter, where the Golden Knights’ Kaelah Carter had a layup go in to give her team a six-point lead (48-42).
The Lightning would not be down for long as the team fought back by outscoring Saint Rose 7-1 to tie the game at 49 with 4:34 left in the third quarter. Alanna Speaks and Alexis Harrison would score all seven points on the run for Goldey-Beacom.
At the 4:26 minute mark, the Golden Knights would start on an 8-3 run to take a 57-52 advantage at the end of the third quarter. Ryley Blasetti scored five of the eight points for Saint Rose during that time.
The Lightning wins 82-73!
Goldey-Beacom would start the fourth quarter off by outscoring the Golden Knights 10-6 to pull the lead within one point (63-62) with 6:03 left in the game. The trio of junior forward Janiya Stevens, Alexis Harrison, and freshman guard Rory Ciszkowski would score all ten points on the run.
In the next two minutes and 54 seconds, the Lightning would continue to heat up as the team outscored Saint Rose 9-6 to take a 71-69 advantage with 3:49 remaining in the game. Mone Izumi and Jhordan Gardner would drain back to back three points shots for Goldey-Beacom during that time.
A minute and three seconds later, the Lightning would take full control of this game as they went on an 11-4 run to seal an 82-73 victory over the Golden Knights. Alexis Harrison would score six of Goldey-Beacom’s 11 points on the run.
