The Goldey-Beacom women’s basketball team is ending 2021 on a high note, as the team defeated the Millersville University Marauders 57-50 on Friday.
The leading scorer in the win was junior forward Alexis Harrison, who had 13 points.
Two other Goldey-Beacom players scored in double digits, which were sophomore guard Mickey Williams (12), and junior guard Sarah Round (11).
Junior forward Jhordan Gardner led the team in rebounds in the game with ten.
The Lightning had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points off turnovers (17-14), second-chance points (15-3), bench points (21-18), assists (14-12), and turnovers (20-27).
Goldey-Beacom also held the advantage at the three-point line, with the team having a 36.4 % (8-22) shooting percentage and the Marauders had a 30.0 %(3-10) shooting percentage.
