The Goldey-Beacom College women’s basketball team grabbed their seventh win of the season Tuesday as the team defeated their in-state rival Wilmington University 74-53.
The leading scorer in this win was sophomore guard Briana Seltzer, who scored 23 points.
Two other Goldey-Beacom players scored in double digits, which were junior forward Alexis Harrison (16), and sophomore guard Mickey Williams (11).
The Lightning had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points off of turnovers (38-12), fast-break points (19-6), bench points (20-19), assists (23-12), turnovers (14-26), and steals (15-4).
Goldey-Beacom also had the advantage of shooting as well, with the team shooting 40.3 %( 29-72) and Wilmington shooting 37.9 % (22-58). The Lightning also held the advantage at the three-point line, with the team having a 40.9 % (9-22) shooting percentage and the Wildcats had a 0.0 %(0-2) shooting percentage.
