The University of Delaware men’s basketball team earned their eighth win of the season on Wednesday, as the team defeated the Lafayette College Leopards 68-58.
The leading scorer for the Blue Hens in the win was Graduate Student Dylan Painter, who recorded 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Two other Blue Hens players scored in double digits, which were sophomore forward Andrew Carr (18), and junior guard Jameer Nelson Jr. (11).
Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in this game, which included points in the paint (34-24), points off turnovers (9-2), second-chance points (7-4), fast-break points (11-1), turnovers (5-13), blocks (4-1), and steals (7-1).
The Blue Hens also had the advantage of shooting as well, with the team shooting 42.1 %( 24-57) and with Lafayette College shooting 40.4 %( 23-57).
