The University of Delaware men’s basketball team are on a roll as the team won their fifth straight game on Friday by defeating the Moravian University Greyhounds 94-55.
The leading scorer for the Blue Hens in the win was Dylan Painter, who recorded his fourth double-double of the season with 18 points and 14 rebounds.
Three other Blue Hens players scored in double digits, which were junior guard Jameer Nelson Jr. (17), sophomore guard Gianmarco Arletti (13), and Fifth-year guard Ryan Allen (13).
Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in this game, which included points in the paint (40-26), points off turnovers (24-10), second-chance points (13-6), fast-break points (20-0), bench points (28-21), rebounds (53-31), assists (21-12), blocks (4-2), and steals (11-4).
The Blue Hens also had the advantage of shooting as well, with the team shooting 48.6 %( 35-72) and with Moravian shooting 34.3 %( 23-67). Delaware also bested the Greyhounds at the three-point line as the team shot 39.5 %(15-38), and Moravian shot 33.3 %(16-18).
