The Goldey-Beacom College men’s basketball team have now won back-to-back games with a 73-71 win over the College of Saint Rose Golden Knights on Saturday.
The leading scorer in the win for the Lightning was junior forward Juran Ligonde, who recorded a double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds.
Sophomore guard Zack Oree also scored in double digits as he had 13 points.
The Lightning had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included second-chance points (14-5), bench points (22-13), rebounds (29-24), assists (14-12), and blocks (2-1).
Goldey-Beacom also had the advantage at the three-point line, with the team shooting 40.9 %( 9-22) and Saint Rose shooting 20.0 %(4-20). The Lightning also held the advantage at the free-throw line, with the team having an 85.7 %( 12-14) shooting percentage and the Golden Knights having a 77.3 % (17-22) shooting percentage.
