The University of Delaware women’s basketball team earned their second win of the season on Monday, as the team defeated the University of Maine Black Bears 83-60.
The leading scorer in the win for the Hens was senior guard/forward Jasmine Dickey, who scored 32 points.
Redshirt junior forward Ty Battle recorded a double-double in the win with 16 points and ten rebounds.
Sophomore guard Tyi Skinner also scored in double-digits in the game with 11 points.
Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (50-40), points off turnovers (15-12), second-chance points (10-4), fast-break points (19-9), rebounds (39-32), assists (17-15), turnovers (11-13), blocks (5-2) and steals (5-4).
Blue Hens also had the advantage in shooting as well, with the team shooting 53.0 % (35-66) and Maine shooting 40.0 %(24-60). The Hens bested the Black Bears from the three-point line as well, with the team shooting 28.6 %(4-14) and Maine shooting 21.4 % (3-14).
