Delaware Sports Blitz will be showcasing student-athletes’ performances from this past season each week.
Each week we will look at different colleges from the state of Delaware and showcase their athlete’s performance in the chosen sport of the week.
This week is all about Wilmington’s women’s basketball team which will conclude with redshirt junior guard Kasha Andrews.
Andrews averaged 10.4 points per game, 2.9 rebounds per game, two assists per game, and 1.1 steals per game in 33.3 minutes per game in 27 games this season.
The Long Branch, New Jersey native is among the best in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference in points per game, as Andrews placed in the top 35 (ranked 33rd) with 10.4 points per game. The Wilmington guard also placed in the top 35 ( ranked 35th) in assists per game in the conference with two.

Andrews Scores A Season High 17 Points In Loss Vs Jefferson
Wilmington would fall to Jefferson 85-76 on December 3rd.
Andrews scored a season-high 17 points in the loss.
Wilmington Ends 11-Game Losing Streak To Capture First Win
On January 4th, the Wildcats would earn their first victory of the season by defeating Bloomfield 66-59.
Andrews had 15 points, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals in the win.
Wildcats Snap Three-Game Losing Streak With Win Vs Felician
Wilmington would stop a three-game skid with an 89-59 home win over Felician on January 18th.
Andrews had 16 points, one rebound, and five assists in the win against Felician.
WilmU Defeats Nyack 85-76
Wildcats would travel to New York and take an 85-76 road win from Nyack on January 25th.
The Long Branch, New Jersey native had 11 points, six rebounds, one assist, and one steal in the game.
Wilmington Snaps Two-Game Losing Streak With Win Over Chestnut Hill
WilmU would hit a little road bump after the win over Nyack, as the team would lose their next two games. Wilmington would rebound though, as the team beat Chestnut Hill 77-67 on February 4th.
Andrews would have eight points, two rebounds, and two steals in the win.
Wildcats’ Final Win Of The Season Comes Against Concordia (N.Y.)
On February 15th, Wilmington would capture their final win of the season over Concordia (N.Y.) with a 60-50 score.
Andrews had nine points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals in the final win.
