The University of Delaware’s football team earned their sixth win of the season on Saturday with a dominating 38-7 victory over the Morgan State University Bears. The Blue Hens are 4-0 at Tubby Raymond Field this season.

The offensive standouts in the game for Delaware were Graduate student Quarterback Nolan Henderson, sophomore quarterback Ryan O’ Conner, senior wide receiver Jourdan Townsend, sixth-year running back Khory Spruill, junior running back Marcus Yarns, and senior wide receiver Brett Buckman.

Henderson went 13 for 29 with 206 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the win. He also had 65 yards rushing with one touchdown.

O’ Conner went four for five with 29 passing yards and one touchdown in the game.

Townsend rushed 17 yards on one carry with one rushing touchdown in the win.

Spruill rushed 14 yards on five carries with one rushing touchdown in the game.

Yarns had two receptions for 76 yards with one touchdown in the win.

Buckman had four receptions for 61 yards with one touchdown in the game.

On the defensive side, fifth-year defensive back Noah Plack and Graduate student linebacker Johnny Buchanan led the team in tackles with eight. The Blue Hens had no problems getting to the quarterback in this win, as the team had four sacks. They came from Buchanan (.5), sixth-year defensive tackle Artis Hemmingway (.5), senior defensive end Chase McGowan (1), sophomore defensive back Ty Davis (1), fifth-year defensive end Tommy Walsh (.5), and junior defensive lineman Ethan Saunders (.5).

All the pressure they had on Morgan State’s quarterback would land the Blue Hens with three interceptions, which fifth-year linebacker Liam Trainer, junior defensive back Nic Ware, and Graduate student linebacker Drew Nickles each grabbed one.
