The University of Delaware’s football team continued its winning ways as the team improved to a 5-0 record with a 24-10 victory over the Towson University Tigers on Saturday.
The offensive standouts in the game for Delaware were Graduate student Quarterback Nolan Henderson, senior wide receiver Jourdan Townsend, Graduate student wide receiver Chandler Harvin, sixth-year running back Khory Spruill, and senior running back Kyron Cumby.
Henderson went 25 for 41 with 368 passing yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the win.
Townsend had seven receptions for 82 yards in the game.
Harvin had three receptions for 105 yards and one touchdown in the win.
Spruill had one reception for four yards and one touchdown in the game.
Cumby rushed for 100 yards on 15 carries with one touchdown in the win.
On the defensive side, Graduate student linebacker Johnny Buchanan led the team in tackles with 11. The Blue Hens had two sacks in the win. They came from Graduate student defensive lineman Anthony Toro, and senior defensive end Chase McGowan. Also, in the win, Kedrick Whitehead grabbed an interception.
