The University of Delaware women’s basketball team earned their 14th win of the season on Friday with a 103-79 win over the College of Charleston Cougars. The win also gives the Hens an 8-1 record in their conference play (CAA) this season.

Senior guard/forward Jasmine Dickey has been playing on an elite level all season, but in Friday’s win, she went to a whole another level when she scored a career-high 52 points. The senior Blue Hen also broke the record for most points in the Bob Carpenter Center with her 52 points. Dickey almost had another 50 point performance when she was two points away as she dropped 48 points on Eastern Michigan in November.

Along with her 52 points, Dickey also had 18 rebounds in the win.

Redshirt junior forward Ty Battle recorded a double-double on the night by scoring 15 points and ten rebounds.

Two other Blue Hens scored in double digits in the win, which was sophomore guard Tyi Skinner (11), and Graduate Student forward Lizzie Oleary (10).

Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points off turnovers (16-12), second-chance points (37-12), bench points (15-5), rebounds (53-36), assists (19-12), turnovers (12-13), and blocks (5-1).

Blue Hens also had the advantage in shooting as well, with the team shooting 47.1 % (41-87) and with the College of Charleston shooting 41.7 % (30-72). The Hens bested the Cougars from the three-point line as well, with the team shooting 27.8 %(5-18) and the College of Charleston shooting 0.0 %(0-8). Delaware was also the better team at the free-throw line in this game as the team shot 88.9 %(16-18), and the Cougars shot 82.6 % (19-23).
