Delaware Sports Blitz will be showcasing student-athletes performances from this past season each week.
Each week we will look at different colleges from the state of Delaware and showcase their athlete’s performance in the chosen sport of the week.
This week is all about Wesley’s softball team which will start with senior outfielder Brandi Dalious.
Dalious had a .419 average, .519 on-base percentage, .884 slugging percentage, 12 runs, 18 hits, three doubles, four triples, three home runs, 21 RBIs, nine walks, five strikeouts, and two stolen bases in 16 games. The Wesley senior led the team in hits, triples, home runs ( co-leader), RBIs, and walks in the 2020 season.
On the defensive side, Dalious had 61 catches for 58 putouts, two assists, one error, fielding percentage of .984, and three double plays in the shortened season.
The Harrington, Delaware native was among the best in the Atlantic East Conference in slugging percentage as Dalious placed fourth with .884. The senior outfielder also placed fourth in runs scored, first in hits, first in RBIs, seventh in doubles, first in triples, second in home runs and second in walks in the conference.
On the defensive side, Dalious was among the best in the Atlantic East Conference in putouts, as she placed fourth with 58.

Wesley Opens Season With 9-0 Win Vs Keystone
The Wolverines scored a combined eight runs in the first and second innings of this game which led to a 9-0 opening day win over Keystone.
Dalious had one run, one hit, one triple, three RBIs, one walk, and a stolen base in the opening day win. On the defensive side, Dalious had five catches for five putouts.
Wolverines Sweep Keystone With 5-2 Win
Wesley started this game with a big first inning by scoring four runs which would later lead to a 5-2 win against Keystone on February 16th.
Dalious had one run, one hit, one home run, three RBIs and one strikeout in the win. On the defensive side, Dalious had three catches for three putouts.
Wesley Takes A Dominating 9-0 Win Over Washington College
In their first road game of the 2020 season, the Wolverines would have no problems scoring as the team took a 9-0 win over Washington College.
Dalious had two runs and three walks in the win. On the defensive side, Dalious had seven catches for seven putouts.
Wolverines Snap Three-Game Losing Streak With 8-0 Win Vs Hilbert
At the end of February, Wesley would hit a bump in the road as the team went on a three-game losing streak but the Wolverines would put the streak to end with an 8-0 win against Hilbert on March 1st.
Dalious had two runs, two hits, one double, one triple, one RBI and one walk in the win.
Wesley Wins Fifth Game Of The Season With 8-0 Win Over Muhlenberg
This would be the fifth game of the season where the team has scored over five runs in a win. The Wolverines scored a run in every inning in this game except the fourth which the team would go on to win 8-0 over Muhlenberg.
Dalious had one hit and one strikeout in the game. On the defensive side, Dalious had three catches for three putouts and one double play.
Offense Scores 11 Runs To Take 11-3 Win Vs St. Elizabeth
Despite three errors in the game, Wesley was able to have their way with St. Elizabeth’s pitching to get an 11-3 win on March 2nd.
Dalious had three hits, two runs, one triple, one home run and five RBIs in the win.
Wesley Sweeps St. Elizabeth
In the second game of the series with St. Elizabeth, the Wolverines would score six runs in first and seven in the third inning to take a 13-0 win.
Dalious had one run, one walk, and stole a base in the win. On the defensive side, Dalious had six catches for five putouts, one assist, and two double plays.
Wolverines Take 1-0 Win Vs Cedar Crest
After scoring 40 runs in their last four games, Wesley would only need one run to win against Cedar Crest on March 3rd.
Dalious struck out twice in the win.
Wesley Winning Streak Hits Six
No one could stop the ferocious attack of the Wolverines, as the team had all facets of their game rolling as the team would beat East Mennonite 9-0 to claim their six straight victories.
Dalious had two runs, one hit, one RBI, and two walks in the win. On the defensive side, Dalious had six catches for six putouts.
Winning Streak Extends To Seven With 3-1 Win Vs Wilkes
Wesley would score two runs in the fourth and one in the fifth inning to take a 3-1 win over Wilkes on March 6th.
Dalious had one run, two hits, one triple, and one RBI in the win. On the defensive side, Dalious had three catches for three putouts.
Wolverines Take A 4-2 Win Over Waynesburg
The winning streak would go on to eight victories, as Wesley would beat Waynesburg 4-2 on March 6th.
Dalious had one hit and one strikeout in the win.
Wesley Closes Season With A 7-3 Win Vs Stevenson
On the final day of the shortened 2020 season, Wesley would take home a 7-3 home win over Stevenson.
Dalious had one run, one hit, one home run, and three RBIs in the win. On the defensive side, Dalious had three catches for three putouts.
