The Wesley College men’s basketball team has now won two straight games as the team defeated the Marymount University Saints on Wednesday at Wentworth Gymnasium.
The leading scorer of the game for Wesley was senior guard Brian Cameron who scored 30 points.
Sophomore guard Greg Bloodsworth also scored in double digits in the win as he had 23 points.
Wesley had the advantage in multiple categories in the game which included points from turnovers (17-13), assists (8-5) fast-break points (18-7)and turnovers (9-13).
The Wolverines also had the advantage of shooting as well, with the team shooting 50.0%( 26-52) and with Marymount University shooting 41.0% (25-61). Wesley also held the advantage in three-point shooting with the team having a 38.9% shooting percentage (7-18) and with the Saints having a 26.1% (6-23) shooting percentage.
Wesley went to foul line often in this game which the team took advantage of those free points as they went 83.3% (20-24) at the line. Marymount University went 56.3% (9-16) at the foul line in the game.

Wesley Takes A 10 Point Lead To The Half
The game started with Marymount jumping out to a quick 5-2 lead which then the team added six points on to that lead in the following minute of that start. The Saints were leading 11-6 with 15:12 left in the first half.
At the 12:24 minute mark, Wesley would make their first big statement in the game as the team went on a 9-5 run which gave the Wolverines a 15-13 lead with 10:13 left in the half.
A couple minutes later, Wesley would lose their first lead of the game but the team fought back as they went on a 21-0 run. Brian Cameron was the leading man on the run as he scored 11 of the 21 points.
Marymount would go on a 5-0 run to close the half but Wesley would still hold a 36-26 lead going into the half.
Wesley Takes Home A 14 Point Win
Wesley brought the momentum they had in the first half, right into the second as the team went on an 11-6 run right of the gate. Brian Cameron led the Wolverines on that run with scoring eight of the 11 points.
At the 3:27 minute mark, Wesley was in full control of the game and would outscore the Saints 14-11 for the rest of the game to take home a 79-65 win.
The Wolverines go on the road to take on Neumann on January 11th at 3:00 PM ET.
