The University of Delaware’s football team capitalized on the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers miscues and junior wide receiver Sean Wilson’s strong performance to a 22-14 win on Saturday, with Former Super Bowl-winning Philadelphia Eagles coach Doug Pederson calling the victory for CBS Sports.

Blue Hens trail 7-0 after one quarter of play.
Delaware opened the game with the ball at their own 25 yard line but didn’t do much with it, as they only went 25 yards in seven plays before punting to Coastal Carolina.
The Chanticleers’ first drive of the game started at their own five-yard line, but that didn’t get them down as they went 95 yards in five plays to end with their quarterback, Deuce Bailey, finding his wideout Goldie Lawrence for the 62-yard touchdown pass to give Coastal Carolina a 7-0 lead with 7:51 left in the opening quarter.
Neither team’s offense did anything for the rest of the first, and UD had two punts.CC fumbled the ball in their next possession.

The University of Delaware’s first scoring drive would start at the 14:43 minute mark in the second quarter at their own 30-yard line. Delaware drove 70 yards in five plays to end with a flea-flicker touchdown pass that went from senior running back Jo Silver to a pitch to senior quarterback Nick Minicucci, which ended with him throwing a dart to receiver Sean Wilson for the 40-yard score to tie the game at seven with 12:38 remaining in the first half.
Coastal Carolina answered right back with a 72-yard, nine-play drive that ended with their quarterback Deuce Bailey finding his wideout Clayton Coppock Jr. for the 27-yard touchdown pass to give their team a 14-7 advantage with 8:19 remaining in the second quarter.
Three possessions later, UD started their drive with 1:38 left on the clock at their own 40-yard line, and the team marched 60 yards in six plays to end with Silver pushing in for the two-yard score. Then, the Chanticleers were called for roughing the kicker, which put the Hens in a perfect spot to go for two instead of one, and Miniccuci pounded his way for the conversion to give his team a 15-14 lead at halftime.
Delaware’s quarterback was a one-man machine on that drive as he had 34 passing yards and 16 rushing yards.

The final score of the game came at the 8:14 minute mark in the fourth quarter, where in the opening play of the drive, quarterback Nick Minicucci found wide receiver Sean Wilson for a 36-yard touchdown pass and their second of thier connection of the day to give UD a 22-14 victory over Coastal Carolina.
One of the big stats in the win came from the turnovers, with the Chanticleers fumbling four times but only losing two. Even though, they only lost two, those four fumbles hurt any momentum they had in their drives, which is a credit to the Blue Hens defense keeping the pressure on.

Wide Receiver Sean Wilson:
Wilson had his fourth 100-yard receiving game of his career in the win and was there for his quarterback when he needed a reliable target in the game, with a stat line of nine catches for 185 yards and two touchdowns.
