The Wilmington University men’s soccer team earned its second win of the season on Tuesday with a 1-0 victory over the East Stroudsburg Warriors.

Wilmington University takes home a 1-0 win!

The Wildcats’ defense was stout in the first half, as East Stroudsburg managed only five shots.

WilmU had ten shots but couldn’t find the net on any of those attempts.

The winning goal of the game came at the 47th minute, when the Cats turned a Warriors turnover into a score for them.  Freshman forward Vaughn Clement powered the ball in near post to give his team a 1-0 lead and victory. Senior midfielder Samuel Macy assisted on the goal.

The standouts in the game for the Wildcats were Vaughn Clement, Samuel Macy, and junior goalkeeper Eduardo Almansa.

Clement had three shots, one at the goal, and scored a goal in the win.

Macy had three shots and assists in the game.
