The Wilmington University men’s soccer team earned its third win of the season on Saturday with a 1-0 victory over the Bridgeport Purple Knights.

Wilmington University takes home a 1-0 win!

Defensive play was strong in the first half as the team combined for eight shots at the goal, and neither could find the net in the first 45 minutes. WilmU had five shots, and Bridgeport had only three.

The lone goal of the game that would win the match for the Wildcats came when senior midfielder Samuel Macy blasted the ball into the net and gave his team a 1-0 lead. Junior defender Ole Heinsohn assisted on the play.
