O’Connor & Dawsey’s big day helps Blue Hens rout Campbell 45-7

The University of Delaware’s football team earned their eighth win of the season on Saturday with a 45-7 victory over the Campbell University Fighting Camels.

The offensive standouts in the game for Delaware were junior quarterback Ryan O’Connor, freshman running back Saeed St. Fleur, Graduate student wide receiver Jourdan Townsend,  Graduate student wide receiver Joshua Youngblood, and Graduate student tight end Braden Brose.

O’Connor completed 19 of his 31 passes for 246 yards for four touchdowns and one interception in the win.

St. Fleur rushed for ten yards on four carries with one touchdown in the victory.

Townsend had five receptions for 92 yards with one touchdown in the game.

Youngblood had four receptions for 53 yards with two touchdowns in the win.

On the defensive side, senior defensive back Keeno Arrington and Graduate student linebacker  Jackson Taylor were flying all over the field in the win, as the two led the team in tackles with eight. The Blue Hens had two sacks in the game, which came from sophomore defensive lineman Melkart Abou-Jaoude (1) and Graduate student defensive end Chase McGowan (1). Graduate student defensive back Khalil Dawsey had a big day in the game, as he had two interceptions and returned one for a touchdown.
