Jameer Nelson Jr.’s last-second putback layup extends Blue Hens’ winning streak to five games

A last-second tip-in layup from Redshirt junior guard Jameer Nelson Jr. would give the University of Delaware men’s basketball team a 60-59 victory over the Rider University Broncs on Monday night. Delaware extends their winning streak to five with this victory.

Jameer Nelson Jr. led the team in scoring in the game with 23 points.

 Redshirt sophomore forward Jyáre Davis also scored in double-digits as he had 15 points.

Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points off of turnovers (17-11), and blocks (4-2).

UD also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 42.6 %(23-54) and Rider shooting 41.7 %( 25-60). The Blue Hens were also the better team at the free-throw line in this game, as the team shot 63.6 %(7-11), and the Broncs shot 40.0 % (2-5).
