The University of Delaware men’s basketball team earned their tenth victory of the season on Wednesday with a 72-59 win over the Towson University Tigers.
Senior guard Christian Ray led the team in scoring in the game with 18 points.
Two other Hens players who scored in double-digits were senior guard Ebby Asamoah (17), and Redshirt sophomore forward Jyáre Davis (16).
Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (30-22), points off of turnovers (15-7), fast-break points (9-6), and turnovers (11-13).
UD also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 51.1 % (23-45) and Towson shooting 35.1 %(20-57. The Blue Hens also bested the Tigers from the three-point line, with the team shooting 38.5 %(5-13) and Towson shooting 33.3 % (7-21). Delaware was also the better team at the free-throw line in this game, as the team shot 91.3 %(21-23), and the Tigers shot 70.6 % (12-17).
