Jade Roberts records a double-double as Wilmington University closes the season with a 52-47 win over Goldey-Beacom

The Wilmington University women’s basketball team closed the regular season out in style by defeating the Goldey-Beacom College Lightning 52-47.

Graduate forward Fatou Ndao led the team in scoring in the win with 16 points. 

 Sophomore guard Jade Roberts recorded a double-double in the game with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Junior guard Amber Washington also scored in double-digits in the win, as she had 13 points.

Sophomore guard/forward Daja Claiborne collected 13 rebounds in the game.

WilmU had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included assists (9), rebounds (51-47), and blocks (6-2).

Wilmington University also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 26.4% (14-53) and Goldey-Beacom shooting 24.0% (18-75). The Wildcats also bested the Lightning from the three-point line, with the team shooting 28.6%(2-7) and Goldey shooting 6.7% (2-30). WilmU was also the better team at the free-throw line in this game, as the team shot 78.6%(22-28), and the Lightning shot 64.3% (9-14).
