The Goldey-Beacom College men’s basketball team earned their third win of the season on Saturday with an eight-point victory (97-89) over the Holy Family University Tigers.
Freshman forward Zayon Marsh led the Lightning in scoring in the win with 33 points.
Three other Goldey-Beacom players who scored in double digits in the win were junior guard Ayshion Centeno (20), freshman guard Omari Banks (15), and sophomore guard Tyshon Judge (13).
The Lightning had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points in the paint (54-46), points off of turnovers (24-10), second chance points (14-10), turnovers (15-18), and steals (13-11).
Goldey-Beacom also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 49.3 % (34-69) and Holy Family shooting 48.6 % ( 34-70). The Lightning also bested the Tigers from the three-point line, with the team shooting 33.3%(6-18) and the Holy Family shooting 22.2 % (6-27).
