C.J Henry throws for three touchdowns in Delaware State’s 28-7 victory over Norfolk State

The Delaware State University’s football team earned their fourth win of the season on Saturday as the team defeated the Norfolk State University Spartans.

The offensive standouts in the game for the Hornets were  Redshirt freshman quarterback C.J. Henry,  Redshirt freshman running back Marquis Gillis, senior wide receiver Jerrish Halsey, and sophomore wide receiver NyGhee Lolley.

Henry went 14 for 19 with 193 passing yards and three touchdowns in the win.

Gillis had 16 carries with 123 rushing yards and one touchdown in the game.

Halsey had three receptions for 77 yards with two touchdowns in the win.

Lolley had one reception for 29 yards with one touchdown in the win.

On the defensive side,  senior linebacker Brooks Parker led the Hornets in tackles with eight. Delaware State had three sacks in the win. They came from Parker, redshirt senior defensive lineman Isaiah Williams, and sophomore defensive lineman Darren Cook. Cook also forced a fumble in the win. Also, Redshirt junior defensive back Andrew Reese grabbed an interception in the game.
