The Delaware State University’s baseball team has now won back-to-back games with a thrilling 8-5 comeback win over the Lehigh University Mountain Hawks. The Hornets looked to sweep the Mountain Hawks in the third game on Sunday.
Game Stats:
The RBIs in the game came from sophomore third baseman Trey Paige (2), junior centerfielder Mike Worthington (1), senior shortstop Alan Alonso (1), senior second baseman Miguel Rivera (1), freshman left fielder Alec Rodriguez(1), and sophomore designated hitter Krew Bouldin (1).
Six Delaware State players had runs in the win, which were Worthington (2), Alonso (2), Paige (1), Rivera (1), sophomore first baseman Mike Carrington (1), and sophomore catcher Mason Brewer (1).
The Hornets hitters gained nine hits in the win, which were Paige (3), Worthington (1), Alonso (1), Carrington (1), Brewer (1), Alec Rodriguez (1), and Bouldin (1).
On the pitching side, junior pitcher Jordan Haddaway went five innings, gave up four runs, three walks, four earned runs, and five strikeouts.
Sophomore pitcher Hiram Davis relieved Haddaway after the fifth inning, as he went four innings, gave up one run, one earned run, six strikeouts, and earned the win.
