The Wilmington University softball team earned their third win of the season on Friday as they took down the University of Missouri – St. Louis Tritons 4-2. The win would get the Wildcats a spilt on Friday as the team fell to Winona State 5-0 earlier in the day.
Game Stats:
The RBIs in the game came from Graduate student third baseman Lauren Lopez, who had three RBIs.
Three Wildcats had runs in the win, which were sophomore outfielder Taylor Gillis (2), Lopez (1), and freshman Megan Sterling (1).
The Wilmington hitters gained ten hits in the win, which were Gillis (2), sophomore shortstop Lexi Moore (3), Lopez (3), senior first baseman Kiersten Comer (1), and freshman catcher Tristyn Stewart (1).
Lopez hit a home run in the win.
Gillis, Moore (2), and sophomore infielder Danielle Hess each stole a base in the win.
On the pitching side, starting pitcher sophomore pitcher, Renamarie Rocha went seven innings, gave up eight hits, two runs, two earned runs, one home run, and earned the win.
