The Wilmington University men’s basketball team has now won back-to-back games with the 78-63 victory over the Georgian Court University Lions on Tuesday.
The leading scorer in the win for the Wildcats was Graduate student guard Danny Walsh, who scored 24 points.
Junior guard Randy Rickards recorded a double-double in the win with 23 points and ten rebounds.
Two other Wildcats who scored in double digits in the win were junior guard Justin Thomas (11), and freshman center Nalik Veasley (10).
WilmU had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points off of turnovers (18-10), second-chance points (20-13), points in the paint (32-28), rebounds (34-32), turnovers (11-14), steals (7-4), and blocks (5-2).
The Wildcats also had the advantage in shooting as well, with the team shooting 51.8%(29-56) and Georgian Court shooting 41.4%(24-58). Wilmington was also the better team at the three-point line in this game as the team shot 40.0%(6-15), and the Lions shot 33.3% (8-24). WilmU also won the advantage at the free-throw line as the team shot 87.5%(14-16), and Dominican shot 70.0% (7-10).
