The University of Delaware men’s basketball team earned their 13th win of the season on Thursday with an 84-74 win over the College of William & Mary Tribe. The win snaps a three-game losing streak for Hens against the Tribe. Delaware also moves to a record of 4-2 against teams in their conference (CAA).
The leading scorer for the Blue Hens in the win was junior guard Ebby Asamoah, who scored 19 points.
Four other Blue Hens players scored in double digits, which were fifth-year guard Kevin Anderson (18), sophomore forward Andrew Carr (14), junior guard Jameer Nelson Jr. (12), and fifth-year guard Ryan Allen (12).
Graduate student forward Dylan Painter led the team in rebounds in the game as he collected 11.
Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in this game, which included points in the paint (38-36), points off of turnovers (11-5), second-chance points (17-12), bench points (14-13), assists (24-10), and blocks (11-2).
Blue Hens also had the advantage in shooting as well, with the team shooting 50.8 %(31-61) and with the Tribe shooting 39.7 %( 29-73).
