The University of Delaware men’s basketball team earned their 11th win of the season against their CAA rival, the Drexel University Dragons with an 81-77 win on Tuesday. Delaware has won the last two regular-season meetings against Drexel with Tuesday’s win.
The leading scorer for the Blue Hens in the win was fifth-year guard Ryan Allen, who had 23 points.
Three other Blue Hens players scored in double digits, which were junior guard Jameer Nelson Jr. (20), Graduate student forward Dylan Painter (14), sophomore forward Andrew Carr (10).
Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in this game, which included points off turnovers (16-12), assists (19-16), turnovers (7-11), and steals (7-2).
The Blue Hens also had the advantage of shooting as well, with the team shooting 52.6 %( 30-57) and with Drexel shooting 48.3 %( 29-60).
