Blue Hens pull out tough 68-65 win vs George Washington

The University of Delaware men’s basketball team’s second win of the season did not come easy, but well, the first one did not come easy either, but all it matters, in the end, it is a win. The Blue Hens pulled out a close 68-65 victory on Friday over the George Washington University Colonials.

The leading scorer in the win for the Hens was redshirt senior forward Dylan Painter, who had 14 points. Painter also had a double-double in the game as he collected 12 rebounds with his 14 points.

Three other Blue Hens players scored in double digits, which were sophomore guard Ebby Asamoah (10), senior guard Ryan Allen (12), and senior guard Kevin Anderson (13).

Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in this game, which included points in the paint (26-24), points off turnovers (24-9), second chance points (10-8), bench points (18-17), assists (14-11) and turnovers (15-19).
