Season Stats: Wesley’s Lekeshia Brown-Myrick

Delaware Sports Blitz will be showcasing student-athletes performances from this past season each week.

Each week we will look at different colleges from the state of Delaware and showcase their athlete’s performance in the chosen sport of the week.

This week is all about Wesley’s women’s basketball team which continues with senior guard Lekeshia Brown-Myrick.

Brown-Myrick averaged 7.7 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game, 1.8 assists per game and 2.1 steals per game in 28.8 minutes per game in 23 games. The Wesley guard was second on the team in scoring with 7.7 points per game. The senior led the team with  2.1 steals per game.

The Wilmington, Delaware native ranked among the best in the Atlantic East Conference in points per game as she was in the top 25 ( ranked 22nd) with 7.7 points per game. The senior guard was among the top 20 ( ranked 20th) in the AEC in assists with 1.8. When it came to the category of steals per game, Brown-Myrick was in the top 10 ( ranked 8th) in the conference with 2.1.

Game Log

Game One: 83-49 Loss To King’s College

Wesley fought hard but came up short to get an opening day win as the team lost 83-49 to King’s College.

Brown-Myrick had four points, one rebound, two assists and one block in the win.

First Win Of The Season: 53-35 Win Vs Lehman

On November 16th, the Wolverines finally earned the first win against Lehman with a score of 53-35.

Brown-Myrick had 14 points, three assists, three rebounds and three steals in the game.

Wolverines Fall 66-48 To Delaware Valley

One week after the win against Lehman, Wesley would fall to Delaware Valley with a score of 66-48.

Brown-Myrick had scored a season-high 17 points in the loss.

Two Games Later, Same Result As Wesley Gets A 63-41 Win Vs Lehman

The Wolverines bounced back after the tough loss against Delaware Valley with a 63-41 win against Lehman.

Brown-Myrick had 13 points, two rebounds, two assists, and one steal in the win.

Back To Back Wins For Wesley Vs Medgar Evers

Wesley was riding on a two-game losing streak before the team matched up with Medgar Evers for a two-game set.

In the first meeting, Wesley defeated the team 58-56.

Brown-Myrick had 15 points, three rebounds, four assists and six steals in the first game.

In the second meeting, the Wolverines defeated the team 52-34.

The Wesley guard had 10 points, two rebounds, three assists and six steals in the second game.

In the two games against  Medgar Evers, Brown-Myrick had six steals in each game which was a season-high for the Wesley guard.

Wesley Gets Fifth Win At Home Vs Cairn

In their last December game, Wesley finished the month off strong with a 60-36 win against Cairn.

Brown-Myrick had four points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal in the win.

Wolverines Break Nine Game Losing Streak In Win Vs Valley Forge

Wesley’s last win of the season came on February 11th against Valley Forge as the score was 67-43.

Brown-Myrick had three points and four rebounds in the win.
