Delaware Sports Blitz will be showcasing student-athletes performances from this past season each week.
Each week we will look at different colleges from the state of Delaware and showcase their athlete’s performance in the chosen sport of the week.
This week is all about Wesley’s women’s basketball team which continues with sophomore guard SherVohnia Tolson.
Tolson averaged 5.8 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game and 1.1 assists per game in 25 minutes per game in 24 games. The Wesley guard had three double-doubles on the season. The sophomore led the team in rebounds per game with her 6.5 rebounds.
The Dover, Delaware native ranked among the best in the Atlantic East Conference in rebounds per game as she was in the top 10 ( ranked eighth) with 6.5 rebounds.

Game Log
Game One: 83-49 Loss To King’s College
On the opening day of the season, Wesley was handed an 83-49 loss by King’s College.
Tolson had two points, three rebounds and one steal in the loss.
First Win Of The Season: 53-35 Win Vs Lehman
The Wolverines finally earned their first win on November 16th against Lehman with a 53-35 score.
The Wesley guard had six points, eight rebounds, and two steals in the win.
Two Games Later, Same Result As Wesley Gets A 63-41 Win Vs Lehman
Wesley dominated the court the first time the team matched up with Lehman and they did it again two games later, as the Wolverines earned a 63-41 win.
Tolson did not score much ( four points) but she did work on the boards ( seven rebounds) and had one steal.
Back To Back Wins For Wesley Vs Medgar Evers
December was a good month for Wesley as the team captured three wins in that month and two of three wins would come from playing Medgar Evers.
The first game against Medgar Evers, Wesley defeated the team 58-56.
In the first game against Medgar Evers, Tolson had 11 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and one steal.
The second game against Medgar Evers was not close at all, as the Wolverines defeated the team 52-34.
Tolson had four points, nine rebounds, one assist and two steals in the win.
Wesley Gets Fifth Win At Home Vs Cairn
In their last December game, Wesley finished the month off strong with a 60-36 win against Cairn.
Tolson had four points, six rebounds, one assist and one steal in the win.
Tolson Has Season-High 15 Rebounds in Wesley’s 55-39 loss vs Neumann
Wesley would fall short on stopping their losing streak against Neumann as the score was 55-39.
Tolson would record a season-high 15 rebounds in the game.
Wolverines Break Nine Game Losing Streak In Win Vs Valley Forge
Wesley’s last win of the season came on February 11th against Valley Forge as the score was 67-43.
Tolson had 12 points, 11 rebounds, one assist and two steals.
