It was announced Monday that University of Delaware pitcher Jordan Cargile was named the Colonial Athletic Association Softball Co-Pitcher of the Week.
Cargile had two complete game victories vs UNCW this past weekend which helped her earn the honor.
In Saturday’s win the Baltimore, MD native allowed 3 runs, 2 earned, 6 hits and 7 Ks in the 4-3 win vs UNCW. In Sunday’s game, Cargile threw 7 shutout innings, 1 walk and 2 Ks in Hens 1-0 win vs UNCW.
Cargile is 17-14 on the year with a 3.78 earned run average and has appeared in 40 games for the Hens. Cargile is one appearance away from breaking the school record with most appearances in a season. The Hens top pitcher is third in the CAA with 17 wins and is tied fifth for a Blue Hen in a single season.
This is Cargile’s first CAA Pitcher of the week honor this season.
