Wilmington University’s men basketball team will be hosting ” Wildcats in Training” Camp in June at the Wilmington University Athletics Complex. The annual event was started by Wilmington’s men’s basketball coach Dan Burke, who is in his third year with the school.
The basketball camp is running from June 26-29 and will be an exciting opportunity for boys from 8-15 to enhance their basketball skills. The WilmU coaching staff will work with the young athletes to help improve their fundamentals in all areas of the game. For example, the staff will go through rebounding, ball handling, defense skills and exercise to increase speed and grow their athleticism.
The camp will run 9am to 3pm and the school is also offering a drop-off option for the athletes that starts at 8am during the camp days.
The basketball camp cost $115 per athlete, which each athlete will get a t-shirt and a basketball.
To register a spot for a young athlete, parents should go to http://athletics.wilmu.edu/camps/camps-list, which you can make the payment online. Also, on the site is a online brochure about the camp and a wavier form for the event as well.
