Randy Rickards scores 22 points in Wilmington University’s 92-74 win over Queen’s College (NY)

The Wilmington University men’s basketball team earned their 14th win of the season on Wednesday as the team defeated the Queen’s College (NY) Knights 92-74.

Senior guard Randy Rickards led Wilmington in scoring in the win with 22 points. Rickards also had a double-double in the game, as he collected 11 rebounds with 22 points.

Four other Wildcats who scored in double digits in the win were freshman guard Marcus Pierce (16), Senior guard  Justin Thomas (16), junior guard Amiri Stewart (13), and junior guard Caleb Matthews (13).

WilmU had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included bench points (17-14), points in the paint (42-30), points off of turnovers (24-10), turnovers (8-17), assists (20-12), steals (10-6), and blocks (5-2).

Wilmington University also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 48.4% (30-62) and Queens College shooting 41.9%(26-62) WilmU was also the better team at the free-throw line in this game, as the team shot 86.2%(25-29), and the Knights shot 56.0% (14-25).
