Blue Hens Nolan Henderson should light up the Hornets’ secondary on Saturday.
Despite getting sacked five times in the win over Navy, Delaware’s Graduate student starting quarterback Nolan Henderson muscled out 189 yards passing and two touchdowns. He also showed his arm strength in the game, as he found Graduate student wide receiver Chandler Harvin for a 51-yard score. Other than getting put down on the ground, the Hens quarterback is looking to have a similar or better day in the air versus the Hornets.
Henderson is facing a DSU defense that caused havoc for the Lincoln (PA) offense all game as they recorded three sacks and one forced fumble.
The University of Delaware quarterback should not be too afraid of the Delaware State defense as he had his way with them last year in a 34-14 win, where he threw for 167 yards and two touchdowns. His longest pass completion was a 41-yard catch by Hens’ former running back Dejoun Lee. Henderson also did damage through the ground game as he had 12 yards rushing and a touchdown.
There is no reason Henderson should not have a big day on Saturday with over 160 passing yards and two touchdowns. Not only does he have solid weapons around him, but the DSU defense gave up 145 passing yards in their season-opening win over the Division II Lincoln Lions (PA).
