The Goldey-Beacom College softball team earned their 19th victory of the season on Friday with a 6-1 win over the Washington Adventist University Shock. The Lightning has now won all five meetings against the Washington Adventist.
Game stats:
RBIs: Junior infielder Carly Setting, junior infielder Bianca Newsom, and senior outfielder/infielder Jaeda Henriquez led the team in RBIs with one.
Runs: junior outfielder/ shortstop Kayla Vaillancourt led the team in runs scored with two.
Hits: Goldey-Beacom had a total of nine hits. Setting, Newsom, and Vaillancourt led the team in hits with two.
Stolen bases: Setting (2), Newsom (1) Henriquez (2), and Vaillancourt (1) each stole a base in the win.
Pitching: On the pitching side, freshman starting pitcher Morgan McLane went six innings, gave up three hits, one run, one earned run, three strikeouts, and earned the win.
Freshman pitcher Devon Ellixson closed the game out, as she pitched one shutout inning.
