The Goldey-Beacom softball team earned a split on Friday against the Bloomfield College Bears. The Lightning won the first game 6-2 but lost the second game 6-5.
Let’s talk about the 6-2 game-winner!
Game stats:
RBIs: Junior infielder Carly Setting led the team in RBIs with two.
Runs: Sophomore outfielder Hannah Davis led the team in runs scored with two.
Hits: Goldey-Beacom had a total of nine hits. Freshman infielder Alex Lowry, sophomore first baseman/outfielder Nicole Makin, and junior outfielder/ shortstop Kayla Vaillancourt led the team in hits with two.
Stolen bases: Lowry, freshman outfielder Bri Snover, and Vaillancourt each stole a base in the win.
Pitching: On the pitching side, starting pitcher Morgan McLane went seven innings, gave up eight hits, two runs, one earned run, one walk, four strikeouts, hit a batter, and earned the win.
