Setting’s three RBIs in 9-1 win over USciences earn Goldey-Beacom a split

The Goldey-Beacom College softball team earned a split on Wednesday against the University of the Sciences Devils. The Lightning lost the first game 5-1 but came away with a 9-1 victory in the second game.

Let’s talk about the 9-1 game-winner!

Game stats:

RBIs: Junior infielder Carly Setting led the team in RBIs with two.

Runs: Freshman pitcher Morgan McLane and junior outfielder/ shortstop Kayla Vaillancourt were the co-leaders in the win for runs scored with two.

Hits: Goldey-Beacom had a total of eight hits. Setting and senior infielder/outfielder Jaeda Henriquez led the team in hits with two.

Stolen bases: Senior pitcher Chrissy Jordan stole a base in the 9-1 win.

Pitching: On the pitching side, starting pitcher Morgan McLane went five innings, gave up four hits, one run, one earned run, four strikeouts, one home run, hit a batter, and earned the win.
