Wildcats open up the season with a 5-2 win over Bentley

The Wilmington University’s men’s soccer team opened up their 2021 season with a 5-2 win over the Bentley University Falcons on Thursday.

The standouts in the game for the Wildcats were forward Reinoud van Eijk, midfielder Shawn Genus, forward Shoki Yoshida, defender Richard Thompson, midfielder Hakim Williams, and goalkeeper Konstantinos Parisis.

Van Eijk had one shot, one shot at the goal, and scored one goal.

Genus had three shots, three shots at the goal, one assist, and scored two goals.

Yoshida had six shots, three shots at the goal, and scored two goals.

Thompson had two assists.

Williams had two assists.

Parisis had three shots at the goal, allowed two goals in 90 minutes of play, and had one save.
