Two second half goals earn Delaware 2-0 win over UMBC

University of Delaware’s women’s soccer team would earn their second victory of the season on Thursday when the team defeated the UMBC Retrievers 2-0.

The standouts in the game for the Blue Hens were midfielder/forward Sarah D’Appolonia, midfielder Sydni Wright, forward Anna Diffendal, midfielder Caitlin St. Leger, and junior goalkeeper Lauren Krinsky.

D’Appolonia had three shots, two shots at the goal, scored one goal, and an assist.

Wright had two shots, one shot at the goal, and scored one goal.

Diffendal had three shots, two shots at the goal, and one assist.

St. Leger had one assist.

Krinsky allowed zero goals in 90 minutes of play and had one save.
