The University of Delaware men’s basketball team picked up a 74-56 victory over the Hofstra University Pride on Friday at the Bob Carpenter Center.

The leading scorers for the Hens in the win were freshman forward Andrew Carr and senior guard Ryan Allen who each had 19 points.
Redshirt senior forward Dylan Painter recorded his third double-double of the season in the win with 18 points and 19 rebounds.
Sophomore guard Ebby Asamoah also scored in double-digits in the game with 12 points.
Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in this game, which included points in the paint (46-28), points off turnovers (13-12), second-chance points (10-6), bench points (12-0), rebounds (40-29), assists (17-5), turnovers (14-15) and steals (7-5).
Blue Hens also had the advantage of shooting as well, with the team shooting 47.7 % (31-65) and with Hofstra shooting 37.7 % ( 20-53). Delaware also bested the Pride at the three-point line as the team shot 23.5 %(4-17) and the Hofstra shot 18.8 % (3-16).
The Hens made sure to make their time at the free-throw line count as the team shot 100.0 % (8-8). The Pride shot 81.3 % (13-16) at the free-throw line in the game.
