Season Stats: Goldey-Beacom’s Sarah Round

Delaware Sports Blitz will be showcasing student-athletes performances from this past season each week.

Each week we will look at different colleges from the state of Delaware and showcase their athlete’s performance in the chosen sport of the week.

This week is all about Goldey Beacom’s women’s basketball team which will continue with sophomore guard Sarah Round.

Round averaged 10.6 points per game, three rebounds per game, and 1.6 assists per game in 31.4 minutes per game in 27 games this season.

The Northampton, England native was among the best in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference in points per game, as Round placed in the 30th spot with 10.6 points per game.

Game Log

Lightning Fall 70-55 To St. Thomas Aquinas

On November 26th, Goldey-Beacom fell to St. Thomas Aquinas with a score of 70-55.

Round scored a season-high 19 points in the loss.

Goldey-Beacom Picks Up First Win Vs Wilmington

The Lightning secured their first win of the season on December 21st by winning a close 70-69 game over Wilmington.

Round had 14 points, one rebound and two assists in the win.

Lightning Snap Five Game Losing Streak With Win Vs Nyack

After losing five games, Goldey was looking for a win to get them back on track which would happen on January 18th when the team beat Nyack 84-55.

Round had 16 points, five rebounds, and one assist in the game.

Back to Back Wins For Goldey With 66-58 Win Over Georgian Court

The following week, Goldey-Beacom would add a win to their record as the team defeated Georgian Court 66-58 on January 21st.

Round had eight points and three rebounds in the win.

Lightning Continue To Roll As The Team Wins Third Straight Game

The Lightning would continue to win as the team defeated Felician 75-59 on the road to extend their winning streak to three games.

Northampton, England native had 14 points, six rebounds and two assists in the game.

Four Straight Wins For Goldey-Beacom

Goldey would come home on February 1st but the winning streak would continue as the team would beat Bloomfield 68-48.

Round would have five points, two rebounds, and one assist in the win.

Goldey Defeats Concordia (N.Y.) 67-54

Goldey-Beacom would pick up a 67-54 win over Concordia (N.Y.) on February 8th.

Round had three points, two steals and four rebounds in the game.

Goldey-Beacom Earns A 62-60 Win Over Holy Family

It was back to back wins for the Lightning, as the team would earn a tough 62-60 win over Holy family on February 12th.

Round would have six points, five rebounds, two assists, and one steal in the win.

Lightning Picks Up Final Home Win Vs Dominican (N.Y.)

On February 15th, Goldey-Beacom would pick up their last home win of the season, as the team would beat Dominican (N.Y.) 81-62.

Round had 13 points, six rebounds, four assists, and one steal in the win.

Goldey-Beacom Earns Final Win Of The Season Vs Wilmington

The final game of the season would end in a victory for the Lightning, as the team pulled out a 73-70 win over in-state rival Wilmington.

The sophomore guard had 11 points, one rebound, two assists, and one steal in the final win.
