It was  multiple basketball honors for University of Delaware and Goldey-Beacom this week.

 

University of Delaware:

CAA Player Of The Week

Nicole Enabosi

Enabosi was named CAA Player Of The Week for her play against William & Mary and Hofstra.

During the two games last week, Enabosi averaged 17.0 points, 17.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 3.5 steals and 2.5 blocked shots per game.

In the win against William & Mary , Enabosi had 16 points, 17 rebounds, five assists and three blocks. Enabosi also posted her 100th of her career in this game.

In the win against Hofstra , Enabosi had 17 points and 19 rebounds.

Enabosi is averaging  18.3 points and 12.4 rebounds per game which leads the CAA. Those stats also have the Blue Hen ranked 63rd in points and seventh in rebounds nationally.

This is Enabosi’s fourth CAA Player of the Week this season.

CAA Rookie Of The Week:

Ryan Allen:

Allen was named CAA Rookie of  the week for his play against Northeastern and William & Mary last week.

During the two games last week, Allen averaged 22 points per game.

In the loss against Northeastern, Allen had 19 points in the game.

In the loss against William & Mary, Allen had 25 points. The Blue Hen guard set a school record in that game by making a career high six three pointers in the loss.

Allen ranks sixth in the nation among freshmen with 69 three-pointers made and has hit a three pointer in a every game of his young career.

This is Allen’s fourth Rookie of the week honor and that is tied for the second most in Blue Hens history along with Alphonso Dawson (2007-08), Devon Saddler (2010-11) and Jarvis Threatt (2011-12).

CACC Men’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll

Taite was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll for his play against Holy Family and  Concordia (NY).

During the two games, Taite averaged 19 points, sevens rebounds , five assists, three steals and two blocks.

In the win against Holy Family , Taite had 19 points and 10 rebounds.

In the win against Concordia (NY). , Taite had 19 points, four rebounds, three assists, 1 block and 2 steals.

Taite ranks high in the nation in many categories including Taite is 18th in the nation with 51 steals, 22nd with 127 free throws, 30th with 2.13 steals per game, 48th with 476 points, 52nd with 19.8 points per contest and 79th with 838 minutes played.

Taite ranks high in many Goldey-Beacom categories also including  sixth in team history with 1,131 career points, second with 287 free throws, fifth with 249 assists, fifth with 151 steals, fourth with 134 three-pointers and sixth with 355 baskets. Taite is also fifth on the  GBC’s single-season list with 476 points.

Taite has earned the CACC’s weekly honor roll  eight times this season. Also, the GBC player has earned CACC’s Player of the Week two times this season.

CACC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll

McGrogan was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll for her play against  Holy Family and  Concordia (NY).

During the two games, McGrogan averaged 16.5 points, seven rebounds and 6.5 assists.

In the loss against Holy Family , McGrogan had 21 points , eight assists and seven rebounds.

In the win against Concordia (NY). , McGrogan had 19 points, four rebounds, three assists, 1 block and 2 steals.

McGrogan ranks high in the CACC in many categories including  33rd in the league with 9.5 points per game, 13th with 74 assists, 17th with a .701 free throw percentage, 22nd with a .411 field goal percentage and 40th with 4.4 rebounds per game.

McGrogan  has earned the CACC’s weekly honor roll three times this season
