The Goldey-Beacom College baseball earned a sweep on Sunday, as the team beat the Felician University Golden Falcons 6-3 in the first game and 8-4 in the second.
Let’s start with their Game One 6-3 win!

Game Leaders:
RBIs: Marlon Lindsey Jr. and Braden Kolmansberger would lead the team in RBIs with two in the win.
Runs: Marlon Lindsey Jr., and Kyle Walker, also led the team in runs with two in the game.
Hits: Marlon Lindsey Jr. and Demetrius Johnson would lead the team in hits, with three in the win.
Stolen Bases: Demetrius Johnson would lead the team in stolen bases with one.
Game One Recap:
Felician would get the first run on the scoreboard in this game as they pushed one through in the bottom of the first.
Two innings later, Goldey-Beacom would finally get on the board, as senior outfielder Marlon Lindsey Jr. hit an RBI double to left field to tie the score at one.
Fast forward to the top of the sixth inning where sophomore outfielder Matt Benner slapped an RBI single to right field to give the Lightning a 2-1 lead.
The Golden Falcons would answer back in the bottom of the sixth inning, as Anthony Lamar would hit an RBI single to second base to tie the game at two.
In the top of the seventh inning, Goldey would score four runs on four hits to take a 6-2 edge.
The first run of the inning came when Marlon Lindsey Jr. knocked a two-out RBI double to left field, which gave the team a 3-2 advantage.
Sophomore infielder Braden Kolmansberger would be the next batter up, as he hit a two-out, two-run triple down the right field line to extend the Lightning’s lead to 5-2.
Junior outfielder Demetrius Johnson would join in on the scoring fun, as he hit a two-out, RBI single through the left side of the field to expand his team edge to 6-2 in the top of the seventh inning.
Felician would score one more run in the bottom of the seventh inning, but Goldey would hold on to win 6-3.
Pitching recap:
Freshman pitcher Kevin Dillon went six innings, gave up seven hits, two runs, two earned runs, one walk, and earned the win.
Sophomore pitcher Alex Hinton closed the game out by going one inning, giving up one run, two walks, striking one batter out, and earning the save.
