The University of Delaware women’s basketball team gave their sold-out crowd at the Bob Carpenter Center a thrilling performance to watch as the team was down by 15 points at the start of the fourth quarter to not only push it to overtime but beat the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Aggies by a score of 79-75.
Senior center Klarke Sconiers led the Blue Hens in scoring in the win with 20 points.
Three other Hens players who scored in double-digits were Fifth-year guard/forward Makayla Pippin (13), Fifth-year guard Jewel Smalls (12), and Kharis Idom (11).
UD had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points off of turnovers (22-21), fast-break points (16-11), rebounds (43-36), assists (18-15), turnovers (20-21), and blocks (5-0).
Delaware was also the better team at the free-throw line in this game, as the team shot 70.4 %(19-27), and North Carolina A&T shot 64.3 %(9-14).
