The Wilmington University men’s basketball team earned their 11th win of the season on Saturday as the team easily defeated the Felician University Golden Falcons 92-57. Wildcats Head Coach Dan Burke hit a milestone in this game, as the win over the Golden Falcons was his 100th victory.
Senior guard Randy Rickards led Wilmington in scoring in the win with 17 points.
Two other Wildcats who scored in double digits in the win were junior guard Taalib Holloman (13), and senior guard Justin Thomas (10).
Junior guard Amiri Stewart led the Wildcats in rebounding the game as he collected ten rebounds.
WilmU had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included bench points (40-10), fast-break points (10-6), second-chance points (9-6), assists (22-9), rebounds (40-27), and steals (8-6).
Wilmington University also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 57.6% (34-59) and Felician shooting 36.1%(22-61). The Wildcats also bested the Golden Falcons from the three-point line, with the team shooting 51.9%(14-27) and Felician shooting 21.1% (4-19). WilmU was also the better team at the free-throw line in this game, as the team shot 76.9%(10-13), and the Golden Falcons shot 64.3%(9-14).
