The Delaware State University women’s basketball team earned their third win of the season on Saturday with a 68-60 win over the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks.
Senior guard Alexis Moragne led the Hornets in scoring in the win with 21 points.
Delaware State had the advantage in rebounds (32-31) in the victory.
The Hornets also had the advantage in shooting, with the team shooting 47.6 % (20-42) and Maryland Eastern Shore shooting 32.0 % (24-75). Delaware State also bested the Hawks from the three-point line, with the team shooting 46.7 % (7-15) and the Maryland Eastern Shore shooting 16.1 %(5-31). The Hornets were also the better team at the free-throw line in this game, as the team shot 91.3 %(21-23), and the Hawks shot 46.7 % (7-15).
