Marsh & Oree combine for 46 points in Goldey-Beacom’s 84-75 win over Bloomsburg

Goldey-Beacom leads by eight points after one half of play.

The game started with Bloomsburg dashing out to a quick 6-3 advantage with 17:49 left in the opening half. Their lead would not last long, as seconds later, the Lightning’s Zack Oree would drain a three-pointer to tie the game up at six.

In the next five minutes and 17 seconds, Goldey-Beacom would go on a 15-8 run to take a 21-14 lead with 12:24 remaining in the first half. Oree would score six of the Lightning’s 15 points on the run. GBC was hot from the three-point line during the run, with two made shots coming from Oree, and the other one coming from junior guard Ayshion Centeno. Rebounding was also a key part of the run, as the team collected rebounds.


Starting at the 11:49 minute mark, the Huskies would answer back by outscoring Goldey-Beacom 17-9 to grab a 31-30 advantage with 5:24 left in the opening half.

They would not have the lead for long, as the Lightning struck back by going on an 11-2 run to take a 41-33 advantage into halftime. The duo of Zayon Marsh and Zack Oree scored nine of the 11 points during that time.

The Lightning wins 84-75!

Bloomsburg would be red hot in the first four minutes and 42 seconds of the second half, as they went on a 13-4 run to grab a 46-45 advantage over Goldey-Beacom.

Starting at the 14:56 minute mark, the Lightning would respond by outscoring the Huskies 10-2 to take a 55-48 lead with 12:58 remaining in the second half. Zayon Marsh would score seven of Goldey’s ten points during the run.


Fast forward to the 3:54 minute mark, where Tyshon Judge would drain a three-point shot to push the Lightning’s advantage to ten points (73-63).

Eighteen seconds later, the Huskies would outscore Goldey-Beacom 12-11, but it would not matter as the Lightning still took home an 84-75 win.
