The Wilmington University softball team has now won eight of their last ten games as the team swept the doubleheader against the Concordia College Clippers on Saturday. Wilmington won the first game, 5-3, and the second one 6-4.

Game One Stats (5-3 win vs Concordia )
The RBIs in the game came from senior catcher Annie Davila (5).
Three Wildcats had runs in the win, which were freshman center fielder Isabella Eleazar (1), senior shortstop Alyssa Velasquez (2), and Davila (2).
The Wilmington hitters gained eight hits in the win, which were Eleazar (1), Velasquez (1), junior third baseman Lauren Lopez (1), Davila (3), freshman right fielder Sara Miller (1), and junior left fielder Courtney Dellinger (1).
Davila hit two home runs in the win.
Miller stole a base in the win.
On the pitching side, the starting pitcher freshman Renamarie Rocha went five innings, gave up six hits, two runs, one earned run, one walk, one strikeout, and earned the win.
Freshman pitcher Alexandra Ballester closed out the game as she went two innings, gave up two hits, one run, one earned run, two walks, two strikeouts, and earned the save.

Davila starts her big RBI day in the first inning
The top of the first inning would start with freshman pitcher/infielder Haley Downin reaching first base on a fielding error.
Two batters later, Alyssa Velasquez would hit a single up the middle to advance Downin to second base.
Two plays later, Annie Davila would hit a single through the left side of the field, which allowed Velasquez to score to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
After not giving up any runs in the first inning, Renamarie Rocha would give up her first run of the game when Concordia’s Kiana Sauter hit an RBI single in the bottom of the second inning to tie the score at one.
Wilmington adds two more runs in the third inning
The action in top of the third inning started when Isabella Eleazar hit a single to center field.
Three batters later, Annie Davila would hit a two-run home run to center field, which gave WilmU a 3-1 lead in the third inning.

Two innings later, Davila would hit another two-run home run to push the Wildcats lead to 5-1 in the fifth inning.

After giving up one run in the second inning, Renamarie Rocha settled in for the next three innings as she did not give up any runs. Rocha’s day would end after five innings, as she gave up six hits, two runs, one earned run, one walk, one strikeout, and earned the win.
Alexandra Ballester would come in for Rocha in the sixth inning and hung on to close out a 5-3 win as she went two innings, gave up two hits, one run, one earned run, two walks, two strikeouts, and earned the save.
