The University of Delaware women’s basketball team is moving on to the Women’s National Invitation Tournament Charlotte Region Final as the team defeated the Clemson University Tigers 87-74 on Saturday.

The leading scorer in the win for the Blue Hens was junior guard/forward Jasmine Dickey, who had 26 points.
Two other Blue Hens scored in double digits in the win, which was redshirt junior forward Ty Battle (14) and freshman guard Tyi Skinner (22).
Skinner also had two amazing half-court buzzer-beating shots, which we will get into later in the full recap of the game.
Senior forward Lizzie Oleary was the leading rebounder for the team as she collected 13 rebounds.
Delaware had the advantage in multiple categories in the game, which included points off of turnovers (23-9), bench points (39-13), rebounds (46-40), assists (13-11), turnovers (11-18) and steals (9-5).
Blue Hens also had the advantage in shooting as well, with the team shooting 45.9 % (34-74) and with Clemson shooting 37.5 % (24-64). The Hens bested the Tigers from the three-point line as well, with the team shooting 37.5 % (6-16) and Clemson shooting 26.7 %(4-15).
