Hornets lead by eight at the end of the first half

The trio of Myles Carter, Zach Kent, and Wiley would score 20 of DSU’s 22 points during that time. In the first six minutes of the second half, the Hornets buzzed out on a 16-0 run which gave the team a 57-33 lead with 14:05 left in regulation. The duo of Zach Kent and Pinky Wiley would score 9 of the 16 points on the run. Rebounding was a key on the run as the team collected ten rebounds.
DSU would continue to add to their lead, as in the next nine minutes of the second half, the team would score 14 more points to give them a 71-46 lead with 3:58 left in the game. Kent would score six of the 14 points during that time.
As the game started to wind down, the Hornets would score four more points to seal a 75-58 win over the Seahawks.
